COUNCIL

THE MCCC SCHOLAR Editorial Board invites any unit member,
full or part time, to submit articles for future issues. Articles
dealing with any aspect of the academic environment which the author
believes would be of interest to MCCC unit members would be
appropriate. The journal is designed to be interdisciplinary and is
intended to be a forum for the many views of the membership.
Manuscript reviews for this refereed publication occur on a continual
basis, so you are welcome to submit them at any time.
All manuscripts
must
- be sufficiently well written to require minimal editing and
revision
- not exceed 3,000 words in length, including footnotes,
quotations, and references
- be scholarly, responsible articles in which opinions are
derived from thoughtful research
Specific Procedures for Preparing a
Manuscript for THE MCCC SCHOLAR
- Use the Publication Manual of the American Psychological
Association, 4th Edition, 1994, to prepare the
manuscript*. Obtain this manual at most bookstores, or
order it from
the American Psychological
Association, 1200 Seventeenth Street, N.W., Washington, DC
20036.
- Include a title page and abstract (maximum 150 words) with the
manuscript.
- On a separate final sheet, include a brief biographical
statement for each author. Include titles (e.g., Dr. Mr., Mrs.,
Ms., or Miss) full names; position titles; phone numbers; colleges
of employment; and cities, states, and zip codes. If appropriate,
include an acknowledgment statement for agencies that assisted
with authorship or research funding.
- Submit FIVE copies of the manuscript and a 3.5" disk
containing the article in ASCII and WordPerfect or Word format.
Please indicate the specific program on the disk. Articles on the
disk should indicate only paragraph breaks, bold, and
italics.
THE MCCC SCHOLAR Editorial Board also invites unit members
to submit book reviews, original poetry, photographs, and other
graphics for consideration.
All members of the Massachusetts Community College Council receive
THE MCCC SCHOLAR reaching an audience of over 5000
readers.
